David Spector is Akerman’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He leads the firm’s strategic growth initiatives and drives the firm’s commitment to deliver a market-leading client experience. David works regularly with firm clients to ensure their business challenges are met through innovative legal solutions. He also works with firm leaders to manage operational issues throughout the firm’s 24 offices nationwide.

Prior to serving as Chairman and CEO, David founded Akerman’s Fraud and Recovery Practice Group, an innovative legal team dedicated to the investigation and eradication of fraud. An accomplished trial lawyer, David litigates complex fraud schemes and unfair and deceptive practices on behalf of property and casualty and health insurers, financial institutions, self-insured retailers, and other market leaders operating in the United States.
